The 8^th Army Command has stated that sergeant Ma, who was guiding tanks during today’s (5^th) routine equipment maintenance of the 564^th Armored Brigade, was accidentally hit by a tank and has sustained abdominal and back injuries. Sergeant Ma is now conscious after emergency treatment and is being treated right now.

The 8^th Army Command has pointed out that it assigned high-ranking cadres to assist and handle at the incident location straight after receiving the notice, and has established a task force to conduct investigation and clarify the cause. The 8^th Army Command has also notified each unit to comprehensively strengthen risk prevention education and implement cadre supervision and risk management and control to ensure operation safety.
